“Hope for Obama, hope for Latin America!” cheered singer Fernando Olvera as the band launched into hits such as “Corazon espinado” and “Labios compartidos” before more than 35,000 guests.
Formed in Guadalajara in 1986, Maná are one of the most popular Latin bands in the world, having sold over 30 million albums and won four Grammy and seven Latin Grammy awards.
Maná supported Obama throughout his triumphant re-election campaign and performed at a rally in Las Vegas in October in a bid to mobilize Latino voters.
