David Frost’s last interview with Gael Garcia Bernal
Yesterday I came across an excellent 47-minute interview with the late Sir David Frost and Guadalajara-born actor Gael Garcia Bernal.
It was the last interview that Frost ever conducted before passing away on August 31.
Aside from his films and his relationship with Diego Luna, Garcia talks about how the Zapatista uprising influenced him as a teenager, and goes on to discuss a wide range of social and political issues, such as the influence of the United States in Latin America, the legacy of the late Chilean dictator General Pinochet, and the many grave problems facing Mexico, such as the war on drugs, inequality and violence against immigrants.
On another note, it turns out that Garcia supports Tottenham Hotspur, although he does admit to admiring bitter rivals Arsenal, whom Frost was a fan of. Watch the interview here.
