Puerto Vallarta to host food and fishing fests
The brainchild of Maître Cuisinier de France Chef Thierry Blouet, Heinz Reize of Hotel Krystal and Silvan Müller of Nestle, the first festival was held in November 1995, with the aim of promoting Vallarta’s vibrant culinary scene on a world stage. Guest chefs from Mexico, the United States, Canada, France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Switzerland will grace this year’s festival, which extends from Puerto Vallarta to Tepic and the Riviera Nayarit.
The scheduled events include a chefs’ welcome cocktail party, a gourmet brunch, gourmet cooking demonstrations, gourmet safari progressive dinning, a star chef’s dinner and show, a five-course meal by Blouet, and a cheese, chocolate and Corona beer tasting session. Reservations are recommended.
Prices for events range from 700 to 2,700 pesos. To book or view the full itinerary, plus a complete list of the participating hotels and restaurants, click here or call (322) 222-2247.
