Victims’ remains found in Ribera del Pilar

Police investigating last week’s massacre of 18 people from the Chapala area discovered more human remains in a safe house in Ribera de Pilar on Monday.

The white, two-story building (house number 30 on calle Mirador) contained two industrial refrigerators, in one of which police found severed body parts corresponding to those missing from the victims.

Their mutilated bodies were left just off the Chapala highway in Ixtlahuacan last Wednesday morning.

Those responsible for the killings left behind few possessions, including a sleeping bag, suitcase and clothes.
