Chivas slash beer and pizza prices to 10 pesos
Chivas de Guadalajara are offering food and drink for just 10 pesos to ensure a full crowd in the Omnilife Stadium for Sunday’s showdown with Tijuana.
The regular soccer season comes to a close this weekend and Chivas must win their final game to guarantee a place in the playoffs. Chivas will have their work cut out against league leaders Tijuana, but they could benefit from the fact that Los Xolos have little to play for, having already qualified for the playoffs.
Chivas have struggled to full the Estadio Omnilife (Circuito JVC 2800, Zapopan) since vacating the Estadio Jalisco in 2010, but club owner Jorge Vergara is determined to fill the stadium and ensure a raucuos atmosphere by reducing prices. Pizza, beer and sodas normally priced at 45, 35 and 25 pesos respectively will all be on sale for just 10 pesos during Sunday’s game which kicks off at 5 p.m. Tickets remain at regular prices, ranging from 70 to 600 pesos.
