Ten detained as police find guns and drugs at Zapopan home
Agents of the Jalisco Prosecutor General’s Office (FGE) arrested ten people at a house in the upmarket Prados Tepeyac neighborhood in Zapopan on Sunday.
The seven women and three men were found in possession of three handguns, over 17,000 dollars in cash and 11 kilos of cocaine, valued at almost two million pesos.
The FGE agents had arrived at the property, number 318-B on Prados de las Azucenas, with a warrant for the arrest of three women and one man accused of fraud. The four were said to have taken out a loan for the purchase of 400 cattle, a transaction that was never accredited, and then refused to repay the money. The four suspects were detained, along with six others found at the property, when the investigators discovered the illegal drugs and firearms.
